My name is Betty Rose Smith. I was born in Southern California on February 2, 1939. I work as a nurse and am stationed in Da Nang Air Base in the Republic of Vietnam. I help care for the injured soldiers that are fighting for survival and protect our homeland, the United States of America. I have a husband which is also in the Vietnam War but is stationed in a different base. We always write to each other, assuring ourselves that we will make it back home together like the good old days. Once we return, we plan on having two kids and owning our very own home. I will be the housewife and he will be the working father. I can not wait to return to California!
